My Story
Let’s turn your marketing chaos into calm, clear strategy.
I’m Meg Kelly—your caffeinated chaos coordinator, spreadsheet strategist, and the person authors call when they’re tired of doing it all alone. With 13+ years of digital marketing experience and a real understanding of how publishing works (yes, including the messy bits), I help indie authors build platforms that feel like home—not hard labor.
After years of agency and freelance work across industries, I finally found where I belong: supporting authors. Since launching Literary Inspired, I’ve worked with over 76 authors and managed 80+ ARC campaigns. I don’t just help you “do the marketing”—I help you make peace with it.
When I’m not deep in Canva, tweaking a newsletter sequence, or planning a client’s next launch, you’ll find me sending unsolicited pet pics, adding books I’ll never finish to my TBR, yelling at F1 drivers, and hoping Spurs doesn’t break my heart. Again.

What Makes Me Different
I combine strategic know-how with genuine care. This is a collaboration, and I treat your goals like they’re my own. I prioritize your wellbeing and know how quickly burnout can creep in, especially when you’re juggling writing with everything else. My services are designed to support your creativity, not drain it.

Who I Am (and Why That Matters)
I’m Meg Kelly—founder of Literary Inspired, spreadsheet nerd, and marketing strategist with over 13 years of digital marketing experience across a range of industries. But the version of me that matters most? The one that genuinely understands what it’s like to be an author juggling creativity, deadlines, mental health, and all the noise that comes with trying to grow a career in publishing.
I started Literary Inspired to offer something I couldn’t find when I was navigating my own burnout: a marketing partner who actually gets it. Someone who respects the creative process, protects your energy, and doesn’t treat marketing like a one-size-fits-all checkbox.
Since launching, I’ve worked with 76+ authors and run over 80 ARC campaigns, each one tailored to the individual behind the brand. Because marketing isn’t just about visibility—it’s about clarity, intention, and ease.
The Values That Guide My Work
1. Neurodivergent-Informed Strategy
As someone with ADHD, I know what it’s like to hit a wall. That’s why everything I build is created with brain-friendly systems—flexible enough to adapt, structured enough to bring calm.
2. Author-Led Pace
I don’t do high-pressure marketing. I work in ways that support your schedule and capacity. Together, we’ll find a rhythm that fits your season.
3. Honest Communication
No gatekeeping. No buzzwords. Just transparent conversations that help you feel informed, empowered, and in control.
4. Sustainable Success
This isn’t about overnight results. I focus on building foundational strategies that support long-term author careers—not just launch week wins.

Who I Work Best With
If you’re the kind of author who:
Wants their time and energy respected
Appreciates honest, direct communication
Prefers working with someone who listens before giving advice
Believes success doesn’t require selling your soul or working 24/7
Then I think we’ll get along just fine.
I work with indie authors across romance, fantasy, dark romance, paranormal, mystery, and everything in between. What matters most isn’t genre—it’s the intention behind what you’re building.
Client Experience
Authors who work with me often say they feel more in control, less overwhelmed, and genuinely excited about their marketing again. My clients know they can trust me with their deadlines, hand over the chaos, and expect thoughtful results.

FAQ: Let’s Clear a Few Things Up
Do I have to book a long-term contract?
Nope. I offer flexible, contract-free services. You can book once, come back later, or work with me monthly—it’s completely up to you.
What if I already have a VA or team?
Great! I love collaborating with existing teams and will slot into your workflow without friction. I’m here to make life easier, not take over.
I don’t know where to start. Can you help?
That’s literally my specialty. If marketing feels overwhelming or messy, I’ll help you sort through the noise and build a plan that actually makes sense.
Do you work with traditionally published authors?
Yes, I do! While many of my clients are indie authors, I also work with traditionally published writers who want more control over their online presence.
What if I need something not listed on your site?
Just ask. If I can do it, I will. If it’s outside my scope, I’ll refer you to someone trustworthy in my network.
How do I get started?
Fill out my contact form or send me an email. From there, I’ll send you a short intake form and we can chat about what’s next.
Still Here?
Then you’re probably my kind of person. Let’s simplify your marketing, protect your energy, and build a brand that actually feels good to run.
Let’s make it easier. Let’s make it yours.
Ready when you are.
Real Stories

A.A. Gordon2024-11-13Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Meg is exceptionally creative and so easy and comfortable to work with. She provides a range of services including social media content creation and ARC team management for authors, and I found her to be reliable and devoted to my brand. Val Tobin2024-07-21Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Meg Kelly worked hard on the ARCs for The Empress. I really appreciate everything she did to get the book downloaded and read. I've already received thirteen ratings, ten with reviews, on GoodReads and ten reviews on Amazon. Considering the release date for the book was only June 28, that's a huge help. I never could've accomplished this on my own. I had no idea where to start, and Meg guided me through the process. It felt weird to have to do so little and yet gain so much. I still don't think the work that she did is something I could duplicate on my own. The created promo images alone are beyond my capabilities, and they look gorgeous. I look forward to working with Meg again on my next release and would recommend her services to any author wishing to promote their work. Becca Lamb2024-06-27Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Meg was great to work with, very transparent about her process, and answered all my questions with kindness. Highly recommend! Sara Sines2024-05-17Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Meg coordinated my latest release - from amazing graphics and creative text to managing my ARC Team. She did everything! She did it perfectly! I'm so grateful for Meg's professionalism, organizational skills, creativity, and astounding social media presence. I can't say enough good things about her! The success of my new release is directly related to the time and effort she put into it! I could not have done it without her. Thank you, Meg! Irene Te2024-04-24Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I've loved working with Meg over the course of my book launch. It was my first experience launching a book and she was such a kind, supportive, and patient presence in my life throughout the months leading up to release day. I chose Meg because, after reviewing several other potential choices for a PA/marketer, she was the only one to tell me that my book (which does not adhere to current big trends or super popular tropes) would be a unique and exciting challenge for her rather than something difficult to sell. Meg shared that she loves to work with a variety of authors across genres, and she is certainly a fantastic person to be on your team regardless of what kind of book you're promoting. I felt reassured from the beginning that she believed in my book and cared about its success. Her organized approach and timely responses took away a lot of stress for me. Meg also has a robust portfolio of work she's done, from websites to graphic design to marketing, and her prices are affordable + transparent. I truly could not recommend her enough. If you're looking for a PA, whether you're more seasoned in the publishing game or new to it like me, please pick Meg! She is wonderful! Christine Miles2024-04-17Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. As a still emerging Indie Author, I feel incredibly lucky to have Meg on my team. She has seamlessly taken over managing my social media, the (dreaded) marketing, and newsletter creation. Her work is beautiful and professional, as well as well-written and edited. She just redesigned my website, too, and it's perfect. Next up--turning it into an e-commerce site. I can't recommend her enough! Louisa Poletti2024-04-16Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Absolutely fantastic service, I can only recommend it! Meg has helped, supported and inspired me through our work on my first book. Any first-time author would be lucky to enlist her guidance and expertise, and I strongly recommend doing so! Julie-Anna2024-04-15Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Literary Inspired is honestly a treat to work with. Meg is extremely responsive, sets realistic expectations, and is constantly considering your feedback to ensure you are getting exactly what you had hoped for. Personally for me, I set out to have a logo designed by her since my online presence is mostly through graphics and minimal speaking and/or sitting in front of a camera. At first, I think I was a bit unsure of exactly what I wanted. Yet, Meg somehow could take my unchoesive ideas from Canva and begin to form a logo and brand I could always see but not replicate visually. After a few more briefs, as she calls them, she came up with all that I could imagine and hope for. Thanks a bunch Meg for all that you have done and I look forward to further collaborations in the future. Natalie Cammaratta2024-03-25Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Meg did a phenomenal job setting up my website, and does updates and new projects quickly and with great attention to detail! Kyra Synd2024-02-15Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Accurate and efficient service. This was my first experience with a PA and I was followed patiently, even in explaining the necessary steps.
