My Story
Hi, I’m Meg Kelly, founder of Literary Inspired, where I help romance authors simplify the digital side of publishing and build sustainable writing careers. I believe marketing should work with your creative energy, not against it. My approach blends strategy, structure, and care to help authors find calm, clarity, and confidence in their marketing.
With 13+ years in digital marketing and hands-on experience across 275+ book launches, I bring both expertise and empathy to every project. Before creating Literary Inspired, I worked across industries like beauty, retail, luxury products, SaaS, travel, and finance. That experience taught me how to combine creativity with strategy and how to turn complex ideas into systems that actually work.
Over the past few years, Literary Inspired has grown from a side project into my full-time passion. I’ve had the privilege of supporting 100+ authors through services like ARC Management, book launch strategy, social media marketing, website design, and PA support. Most authors first find me through my ARC Management Service, but they often stay long-term once they experience how organized, transparent, and supportive the systems are.
I like to think of myself as your caffeine fueled chaos coordinator. I bring the strategy, the structure, and the checklists. You bring your creativity and your voice. Together, we’ll create a marketing foundation that helps your books reach the right readers without the burnout.

What Makes Me Different
I’m not here to sell quick fixes or cookie-cutter marketing plans. Every author I work with gets a tailored strategy that matches their goals, strengths, and schedule. I’m invested in your success and your wellbeing, which means I’ll always be honest about what works and what doesn’t. I want you to feel empowered, informed, and supported every step of the way.
My approach is author-first and rooted in sustainability. I believe marketing should feel human, organized, and flexible enough to grow with you. That’s why I focus on creating repeatable systems, clear communication, and marketing strategies backed by data and experience.

About Meg Kelly and Literary Inspired
When I started Literary Inspired, I wanted to create something that felt different from traditional marketing agencies. I wanted a space that truly understood the creative and emotional side of being an author, especially in the romance genre. Writers pour so much of themselves into their stories, and marketing shouldn’t drain that spark. It should protect it. My work is about helping you reconnect with your readers and your purpose through intentional, sustainable marketing that feels human, not corporate.
I’ve seen how overwhelming the publishing world can be. Between launches, newsletters, reader groups, and ever-changing algorithms, many authors start to feel like marketing has taken over their writing life. My goal is to help you find a balance where your business supports your creativity instead of competing with it. You don’t need to master every platform or spend every waking moment promoting your books. You just need a clear plan, the right systems, and a partner who understands what it’s like to juggle all the moving parts.
A Journey Built on Experience
My background in digital marketing spans more than 13 years, across industries like beauty, travel, SaaS, luxury retail, and finance. That experience taught me how to adapt strategy to fit each brand’s personality and goals. When I shifted into romance author marketing, everything clicked. I’d found a community that valued connection, storytelling, and authenticity as much as I did.
Over the past few years, I’ve worked on more than 275 book launches and supported 100+ authors. I’ve seen what works, what doesn’t, and how to adjust when things change. Every author comes to me at a different stage, but the challenges are often similar: not enough time, too many options, and too much noise. My job is to help you tune out the distractions and focus on what will actually make a difference.
What Authors Really Need from Marketing
Most authors don’t want to spend hours every week on spreadsheets, analytics, or posting schedules. You want readers to find your books, connect with your stories, and stick around for more. That’s why I focus on building systems that simplify your marketing. Whether we’re creating a book launch strategy, setting up ARC Management, or refining your social media content, I make sure every piece fits into the bigger picture.
One of my favorite parts of this work is seeing the shift that happens when authors realize marketing can actually feel good. For example, I once worked with an author who was completely burned out. She was doing everything on her own and felt invisible online. Together, we created a structure for her ARC team, refined her email campaigns, and rebuilt her website to match her genre and brand. Within a few months, she started seeing consistent engagement, better reviews, and more joy in her process. The best part? She started writing again with excitement instead of pressure.
Why Romance Authors Are My Focus
I chose to specialize in romance authors because this community is unlike any other. Romance readers are passionate, loyal, and deeply connected to the authors they love. They notice details. They care about voice and emotion. And they can spot inauthentic marketing from a mile away. That’s why romance marketing requires a delicate balance of strategy, heart, and authenticity.
I understand the rhythm of the romance industry, the tropes, the trends, and the emotional hooks that draw readers in. Whether you write paranormal romance, romantasy, dark romance, LGBTQIA+, why choose, or contemporary romance, my goal is to make sure your marketing feels as true to your brand as your books do. Every genre has its nuances, and part of my job is helping you navigate those in a way that connects naturally with your audience.
A Human First Approach
At the heart of everything I do is a simple belief: you can grow your author career without sacrificing your wellbeing. I work with many neurodivergent authors, and I know how hard it can be to stay organized, motivated, and balanced when your brain doesn’t work the same way as everyone else’s. That’s why my systems are designed to reduce overwhelm and decision fatigue. Clear communication, manageable timelines, and accountability that feels gentle, not stressful.
You’ll never find cookie cutter templates or pushy tactics here. Instead, you’ll find strategy built around you, your energy, your schedule, and your readers. We’ll identify your strengths and build a marketing routine that feels doable and sustainable. Because if it doesn’t work for your life, it won’t work at all.
The Literary Inspired Difference
There are a lot of marketing services out there, but few are built specifically for authors, and even fewer are created with care for how authors actually think and work. I don’t believe in one size fits all solutions or long contracts that lock you into something you might not need. Everything I offer is flexible and transparent. You’ll always know what’s happening, why we’re doing it, and how it benefits your books.
Every system I build, from ARC tracking spreadsheets to BookFunnel delivery sequences, is created to save you time and stress. You’ll know exactly what to do next, when to do it, and how to measure your progress. My goal isn’t just to do the work for you, but to give you tools and confidence that carry into every future release.
Building a Sustainable Author Career
Sustainability means more than consistent sales or follower growth. It’s about longevity and joy. It’s about feeling proud of your work and connected to your readers. I help romance authors build marketing foundations that support them through every phase of their career, from debut release to multi series success. The systems we create today are meant to grow with you tomorrow.
Many of my clients come to me during transition points, between series, before rebrands, or after burnout. Together, we rebuild their strategy with intention. That might mean refreshing their website, cleaning up their ARC process, or rethinking how they show up online. The result is always the same: less chaos, more clarity, and marketing that feels aligned.

Her creative eye is sharp, her professionalism flawless. She hits every deadline, serves up marketing magic like it’s espresso in Rome, and brings kindness and humour to the table every single week. If you haven’t had the pleasure of working with her, you should! Rochelle Wilcox2025-06-04Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Meg helped me build an ARC team from scratch and now is managing the ARCs for a series I'm rapid releasing, and I'm ecstatic with her services and so grateful to her. She has a way with words, and drafted pitches and hooks that were perfect for my books and so much better than what I'd been able to do. The graphics she prepared for my launch are absolutely beautiful. I'm less than two weeks out from the Book I launch and it already has over 100 Goodreads reviews, which wouldn't have been possible without her. Now that she's helped me with this series, I don't think I'll ever launch a book without her support. 10/10 recommend!! Sheyanne Warren2025-04-30Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I cam to Meg with 2 pen names and a website. She has completely solidified my branding with the things that I was already doing in my writing. There was no overhaul and everything feels like me because she took directly from what I have written and not what is trendy and popular. The graphics are (1) better than anything I did myself, top tier quality and (2) gorgeous and consistent. Meg is extremely organized and professional. She has a schedule and sticks to it. Her design and analytical abilities are outstanding. She provides a range of services including social media content creation and ARC team management for authors, and I found her to be reliable and devoted to my brand. Val Tobin2024-07-21Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Meg Kelly worked hard on the ARCs for The Empress. I really appreciate everything she did to get the book downloaded and read. I've already received thirteen ratings, ten with reviews, on GoodReads and ten reviews on Amazon. Considering the release date for the book was only June 28, that's a huge help. I never could've accomplished this on my own. I had no idea where to start, and Meg guided me through the process. It felt weird to have to do so little and yet gain so much. I still don't think the work that she did is something I could duplicate on my own. The created promo images alone are beyond my capabilities, and they look gorgeous. I look forward to working with Meg again on my next release and would recommend her services to any author wishing to promote their work. Becca Lamb2024-06-27Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Meg was great to work with, very transparent about her process, and answered all my questions with kindness. I'm so grateful for Meg's professionalism, organizational skills, creativity, and astounding social media presence. I can't say enough good things about her! The success of my new release is directly related to the time and effort she put into it! I could not have done it without her. Thank you, Meg! Irene Te2024-04-24Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I've loved working with Meg over the course of my book launch. It was my first experience launching a book and she was such a kind, supportive, and patient presence in my life throughout the months leading up to release day. I chose Meg because, after reviewing several other potential choices for a PA/marketer, she was the only one to tell me that my book (which does not adhere to current big trends or super popular tropes) would be a unique and exciting challenge for her rather than something difficult to sell. Meg shared that she loves to work with a variety of authors across genres, and she is certainly a fantastic person to be on your team regardless of what kind of book you're promoting. I felt reassured from the beginning that she believed in my book and cared about its success. Her organized approach and timely responses took away a lot of stress for me. Meg also has a robust portfolio of work she's done, from websites to graphic design to marketing, and her prices are affordable + transparent. I truly could not recommend her enough. If you're looking for a PA, whether you're more seasoned in the publishing game or new to it like me, please pick Meg! She is wonderful!
