What Is a Virtual Book Tour?
A virtual book tour is basically a scheduled group shoutout. An author has a new release, a cover reveal, or a book that needs a little extra loveโand a team of readers signs up to post about it during a set window (usually 1 or 2 weeks).
As a host, youโll be assigned a specific day to share about the book.
Youโll get everything you need upfrontโgraphics, captions, linksโso itโs easy to copy/paste or customize. You can even pre-schedule your post.
What I Ask From Tour Hosts
Post on your assigned date (during the tour windowโno surprises!)
Use the provided content (or tweak it to sound like you)
Tag the author and @literaryinspired so we can shout you out
If you’re doing a review and didn’t love the book, you can always switch to a promo post insteadโno forced praise here
Let me know if something comes up and you can’t post. Life happens. Just donโt ghost, please.
What I Ask From Authors
Provide ARCs at least 2โ4 weeks ahead of the tour
Send me all your details (blurb, links, promo graphics, etc.) by the deadline
Let me know what youโre open toโinterviews, Q&As, giveaways, etc.
Respect the time and effort hosts are givingโespecially if they’re reading for free
